![]() (You see those on level 40.) Save your magic bombs (>100 wizards) and use erasers to take care of the Catapults. The only enemy who will be able to assail you will be the Catapults. And (super-secret tip alert!) if you get to 901 archers, your Castle will become self-defending. If things are frantic, you won't even notice a guy or two falling among the horde. If things are slow, you'll flip all the guys before the archers have a chance. None the less, the archers will remain hard to notice. Sometimes you'll be holding a guy and the archers will shoot him. Keep an eye out for bad guys who fall to the ground on their own. (evil grin!) Like I said, these guys are easy to miss. I'm really enjoying the game but as you said, 30 minutes of game play and I'm ready to ice down my arm. I'm at ~level 40, and man are my arms tired! I just got back from telling the developer (XGen) that he owes me a bionic arm.ĭo you have to have a certain number of archers before they start firing? How often do they fire? Reason I ask is because I just reached Lvl 30, have 20 archers sitting in the tower, and I don't think I've seen or heard one arrow fired yet. Magic takes time to recharge before you can use it again. (Also a good way of eliminating giants.) There are more spells as you go along, but I haven't managed to get them yet. (Perfect for the giants.) The next spell is a spray can that converts an enemy to your side. The first spell is an eraser that eliminates an enemy. The magic tower assigns spells to the DPad as you add bodies. They're a particularly good investment of bodies as they often manage to repair enough damage for you to hold off on spending the repair fees. Keep this tower well-supplied with men! As the hordes get more challenging, the auto-repair feature the masons provide is the only thing that will hold your castle together. Click the wheel they're pushing to blow 'em up. Eventually, you'll be able to knock over the giants long enough for the archers to take 'em out.Īs you said with the bombers, click the flag and one comes out. The archers aren't very useful in the beginning, but they become more active as you assign more bodies. You may occasionally hear a " schwip!" followed by an enemy falling to the ground. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. #MATTSHEA DEFEND YOUR CASTLE HOW TO#Like I said, maybe I'm dense or whatever, but I can't figure out how to get the archers to shoot or the wizards to fling spells. I have yet to see an arrow fly or a spell thrown (despite using the directional pad in all four directions) in any game I've played. If I click on the Archery or Wizard flag, all that happens is that another archer or wizard is added to the tower from the Pit of Conversion. I get the Bomb Guys to come out by clicking on their flag, but I cannot get the Archers or Wizards to do anything. But the game excells in being mindless, quick fun.īut I have a question for anyone who is playing the game: maybe I'm really, really stupid and dense, but how the heck do you get your towers to do anything? I've purchased the Pit of Conversion, the Archery Range, the Wizard Tower, and the Bomb Guys (can't remember what the tower is called but these guys roll a bomb out of your castle and you can cause an explosion by clicking on them). It has some faults, with being somewhat repetitious leading the way. I had 600 pts sitting in my account that I had no idea what I would use it on and thought "What the heck." and downloaded it.įrom the 30min or so that I've played, I like the game and have had some fun with it. The video of the game I watched on the Nintendo Channel made the game look interesting and fun, especially the graphic style. I read several reviews of the game that, while not awarding 10 out of 10 stars for it, were quite favorable. Has anyone downloaded and played this game? ![]()
